NEW GENERATION MINING Safe Haands offers NEW GENERATION Mine Rehabilitation and Environmental Improvement services to mines. We   view   our   customer’s   environmental   liabilities   as   natural   assets,   and   scientifically   interconnect   the   Mine’s   environmental   infrastructure   to   transform minescapes naturally in the interest and to the benefit of all stakeholders. PLANS AND PROCEDURES Safe   Haands   prepares   Re-vegitation   and   Landscape   Management   Plans,   Wetland   Rehabilitation   Plans    and   undertakes   revegitation   works    in compliance with the conditions of land development approvals. Re-vegitation can be used as a proactive measure to improve water ways, wetland buffers and aesthetics.   PROJECT MANAGEMENT Safe   Haands   has   proven   Project   Management   experience   in   all   aspects   of   rehabilitation   activites   including   r e-vegitation   design,   reparation   (earthworks), mulching, seeding and planting, weed control and monitoring and repoting.   ONGOING SERVICES ON REHABILITATION SITES Continually seeking ways of improving Environmental Performance. Rehabilitate land disturbed or occupied by operations in accordance with appropriate postmining land uses. Consult relevant stakeholders and developing of closure plans that clearly define the post-closure land use. Where appropriate, rehabilitate progressively over the life of the operation. Monitor success criteria agreed with relevant stakeholders. Performance reporting. Undertake and support research into land and water rehabilitation practices. Use appropriate technologies to reduce negative environmental impacts and improve site rehabilitation techniques. Manage and, where appropriate, rehabilitate historical disturbances to an appropriate standard. Experienced environmentalists with a good understanding of mining and exploration working closely with industry and government to develop practices that meet current requirements and standards. Ground truth soil mapping and determination of groundwater quality, catchment & hydrological parameters, river flows and biota sampling.  Air quality and noise measurements. Assessment for environmental policies, percetions, plans and efforts by governments to combat deforestation and desertification. Interviews with key informants and participatory community interview documenting concerns about public health and water availability. Assistance in habit restoration or rehabilitation, reforestation and landscaping (indigenous material). 


